Greetings! Welcome to our collection of dive adventures.

It all started with a discussion about scuba diving at a summer grad party in 2020. In the midst of the pandemic, I was itching to try something new and feed my adventurous spirit... Why not scuba diving? Eric and I had just started dating, and I asked if he would be interested in getting certified as well. He agreed immediately. Having and maintaining a saltwater aquarium was already his main hobby, so scuba diving seemed like a natural fit. We signed up for a scuba diving course through Breezeway Bubbles in Madison, and first became certified as PADI Open Water Divers in the spring of 2021. Over the past several years, we have truly jumped in with both feet to this hobby of ours (pun intended), obtaining our Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications and planning our vacations around dive destinations. 

I love to dive in the warm, tropical ocean where visibility is 100 feet and there are lots of fish and sea life to watch. Eric likes diving in the ocean, too... however, his sense of adventure is sparked by cool, dark freshwater lakes, especially those that contain shipwrecks. Since we live in southern Wisconsin, Eric's type of diving is a lot more accessible than mine, and he has convinced me to explore some of the lakes in our own figurative backyard. 

We thought it would be fun to chronicle our adventures diving in Wisconsin's lakes, as well as some of the other dive locations we visit. It allows us to look back on our past trips, and provides a record for anyone else who wishes to explore our underwater places.
